How To disabled And delete Microsoft Office ClickToRun Service

Microsoft office click to run disable - Crack Key For U -

In this post I will cover the steps to deploy Office 2019 using SCCM. Office 2019 is released along with new version of Office Deployment Tool. The Office 2019 is released for both Windows and Mac OS. Recently I published a post on Office 2019 overview and deployment info.

Please read that post before you plan to deploy Office 2019 using SCCM. Office 2019 uses only click-to-run installation technology. We know about this because Click-to-Run has been the installation technology for most Office products since the release of Office 2013.

The important question is should i deploy Office 2019 or go with Office 365. First of all if you have deployed Office 365 ProPlus to the users in your organization, you don’t need Office 2019. This is because most of the features introduced in Office 2019 are already covered in Office 365 plans.

My preference would be still Office 365 as you get updates frequently. Office 2019 is a software that is available as one time purchase. You can buy it from either online store or through volume license agreement. However you can expect only security updates for Office 2019 in future.

Since updates are cumulative and already included in the latest version of Office 2019 you don’t use Microsoft Updates or WSUS to update Office 2019. Instead you can use Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to help you deploy and manage updates to Office 2019. Let’s proceed with deploying Office 2019 using Configuration Manager.

Step 1 – Install Office Deployment Tool

Download the office deployment tool from here. Right click the executable and run as administrator. You will now see Microsoft Office 2016 click-to-run administrator tool. Accept the license terms and click Continue.

Deploy Office 2019 using SCCM

Create a new folder such as Office 2019 within sources folder and select the folder. Click OK. The executable extracts setup and configuration files inside the selected folder.

Deploy Office 2019 using SCCM

There are three files present in the folder.

  • configuration-Office365-x64.xml
  • configuration-Office365-x86.xml
  • setup.exe

Deploy Office 2019 using SCCM

Step 2 – Create Configuration File

In the next step create a new text file and rename it as config.xml. Well, you can name it anything but ensure you specify .xml as extension. This file should be in the same folder where the setup and other config files are present.

Here is a sample configuration file that you can use it with office deployment tool. In my case I used the below configuration file. This configuration file downloads Office 2019 32-bit version. In addition the previous Windows Installer versions of Office are removed as part of the installation process.

The PIDKEY is the product key for MAK activation. You don’t need to use PIDKEY if you’re activating Office 2019 with Key Management Service (KMS).

<Configuration> <Add SourcePath="\\corpsccm\Sources\Applications\Office 2019" OfficeClientEdition="32" Channel="PerpetualVL2019"> <Product ID="ProPlus2019Volume" PIDKEY=" " > <Language ID="en-us" /> </Product> <Product ID="ProofingTools"> <Language ID="en-us" /> </Product> </Add> <RemoveMSI All="True" /> <Display Level="None" AcceptEULA="TRUE" /> <Property Name="AUTOACTIVATE" Value="1" /> </Configuration>

Deploy Office 2019 using SCCM

Step 3 – Download the Office 2019 installation files

In this step we will download Office 2019 installation files. Run the command prompt as administrator. Change the path to Office 2019 folder. Type the command setup.exe /download config.xml and press enter.

The Office 2019 installation files are downloaded and placed inside Office folder. The approx size of this folder after download is around 2.12 GB.

Deploy Office 2019 using SCCM

Step 4 – Deploy Office 2019 using SCCM

We will now deploy Office 2019 using SCCM. Launch SCCM console and create a new Application. On the General page, select Manually specify the application information. Click Next.

Deploy Office 2019 using SCCM

Specify some information about Office 2019 application and click Next.

Deploy Office 2019 using SCCM

Add a new deployment type and on General page, select Manually specify the deployment type information. Click Next.

Deploy Office 2019 using SCCM

Specify the content location. This is the folder where Office 2019 setup files are present along with setup and config files. Next, specify the installation program as per below format.

"\\server\share\setup.exe" /configure config.xml

Note – I will update the uninstall command at later point of time.

Since I will be deploying Office 2019 to both 32-bit and 64-bit OS, I am going to check the box “Run installation and uninstall program as 32-bit process on 64-bit clients”.
Deploy Office 2019 using SCCM

Adding a detection method is really important here. Add the Office 2019 detection method with following settings.

  • Setting Type – Registry
  • Hive – HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
  • Key – SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Configuration
  • Value – VersionToReport
  • Enable “This registry key is associated with a 32-bit application on 64-bit systems”
  • Data Type – Version
  • Select “This registry setting must satisfy following rule to indicate the presence of this application”
  • Operator – Greater than or equal to
  • Value – 16.0.10336.20044

Click OK to close detection rule box. Click Next.

Deploy Office 2019 using SCCM

Specify the user experience settings for the application. Click Next.

Deploy Office 2019 using SCCM

Note that Office 2019 is compatible with Windows 10 OS only. Therefore you have to specify the OS requirements here. Click Next.

Deploy Office 2019 using SCCM

On the Completion page click Close. This will close create application wizard.

Deploy Office 2019 using SCCMYou have now packaged Office 2019 application. Finally deploy the Office 2019 to a device collection.

In my lab setup, i could install Office 2019 without any issues. Open the software center and select Office 2019 app and click Install. Monitor the installation progress by opening AppEnforce.log file.

If you cannot open your images, documents, or files and they have a .futm extension, then your computer is infected with the STOP/DJVU ransomware.
This ransomware encrypts the personal documents found on the victim’s computer with the “.futm” extension, then displays a message which offers to decrypt the data if payment in Bitcoin is made. The instructions are placed on the victim’s desktop in the “_readme.txt” file.

What is the FUTM ransomware?

FUTM is a file-encrypting ransomware infection that restricts access to data (documents, images, videos) by encrypting files with the “.futm” extension. It then attempts to extort money from victims by asking for “ransom”, in the form of Bitcoin cryptocurrency, in exchange for access to data.

When you are first infected with the FUTM ransomware it will scan your computer for images, videos, and important productivity documents and files such as .doc, .docx, .xls, .pdf. When these files are detected, the ransomware will encrypt them and change their extension to “.futm”, so that you are no longer able to be open them.

Once the FUTM ransomware has encrypted the files on your computer, it will display the “_readme.txt” file that contains the ransom note and instructions on how to contact the authors of this ransomware. The victims of this ransomware will be asked to contact the cyber criminals via the [email protected] and [email protected] email addresses.

This is the ransom note that the FUTM ransomware will show to its victims:

ATTENTION!

Don’t worry, you can return all your files!
All your files like pictures, databases, documents and other important are encrypted with strongest encryption and unique key.

Here is a short summary for the FUTM ransomware:

  • Ransomware family: STOP/DJVU ransomware
  • Extensions: .futm
  • Ransomware note: _readme.txt
  • Ransom: From $490 to $980 (in Bitcoins)
  • Contact: [email protected] or [email protected]
  • Symptoms: The images, videos, and other documents have the “.futm” extension and cannot be opened by any programs

How did the FUTM ransomware get on my computer?

The FUTM ransomware is distributed via spam email containing infected attachments or by exploiting vulnerabilities in the operating system and installed programs.

Here’s how the FUTM ransomware might get on your computer:

  • Cyber-criminals spam out an email, with forged header information, tricking you into believing that it is from a shipping company like DHL or FedEx. The email tells you that they tried to deliver a package to you, but failed for some reason. Sometimes the emails claim to be notifications of a shipment you have made. Either way, you can’t resist being curious as to what the email is referring to – and open the attached file (or click on a link inside the email). And with that, your computer is infected with the FUTM ransomware.
  • The FUTM ransomware was also observed attacking victims by exploiting vulnerabilities in the program installed on the computer or the operating system itself. Commonly exploited software includes the operating system itself, browsers, Microsoft Office, and third-party applications.

Remove the FUTM ransomware and recover the files

It’s important to understand that by starting the removal process you risk losing your files, as we cannot guarantee that you will be able to recover them. Your files may be permanently compromised when trying to remove this infection or trying to recover the encrypted documents.

We cannot be held responsible for losing your files or documents during this removal process.
It’s recommended to create a backup image of the encrypted drives before proceeding with the malware removal instructions.

This malware removal guide may appear overwhelming due to the number of steps and numerous programs that are being used. We have only written it this way to provide clear, detailed, and easy-to-understand instructions that anyone can use to remove malware for free.
Please perform all the steps in the correct order. If you have any questions or doubts at any point, stop and ask for our assistance.

STEP 2: Use Malwarebytes Free to remove FUTM ransomware

While the computer is in Safe Mode with Networking, we will download, install and run a system scan with Malwarebytes.

Malwarebytes Free is one of the most popular and most used anti-malware software for Windows, and for good reasons. It is able to destroy many types of malware that other software tends to miss, without costing you absolutely nothing. When it comes to cleaning up an infected device, Malwarebytes has always been free and we recommend it as an essential tool in the fight against malware.

  1. Download Malwarebytes Free.

You can download Malwarebytes by clicking the link below.

We do recommend that you run another scan with Malwarebytes once you’re in Normal mode to make sure all the malicious files were removed.

STEP 3: Scan and clean your computer with HitmanPro

In this third step, while the computer is in normal back, we will download and run a scan with HitmanPro to remove the FUTM ransomware and other malicious programs.

HitmanPro is a second opinion scanner that takes a unique cloud-based approach to malware scanning. HitmanPro scans the behavior of active files and also files in locations where malware normally resides for suspicious activity. If it finds a suspicious file that’s not already known, HitmanPro sends it to its clouds to be scanned by two of the best antivirus engines today, which are Bitdefender and Kaspersky.

Although HitmanPro is shareware and costs $24.95 for 1 year on 1 PC, there is actually no limit in scanning. The limitation only kicks in when there is a need to remove or quarantine detected malware by HitmanPro on your system and by then, you can activate the one time 30-days trial to enable the clean up.

  1. Download HitmanPro.

You can download HitmanPro by clicking the link below.

STEP 5: Restore the files encrypted by the FUTM ransomware

Unfortunately, in most cases, it’s not possible to recover the files encrypted by the FUTM ransomware because the private key which is needed to unlock the encrypted files is only available through the cybercriminals. However, below we’ve listed two options you can use to try and recover your files.

Make sure you remove the malware from your system first, otherwise, it will repeatedly lock your system or encrypt files.

Option 1: Use Emsisoft Decryptor for STOP Djvu to restore the files

If your files were encrypted with an offline key there is a chance you can recover them by using Emsisoft Decryptor for STOP Djvu decryption tool. Follow the below guide to recover your files using the Emsisoft Decryptor for STOP Djvu.

  1. Download Emsisoft Decryptor for STOP Djvu

You can download Emsisoft Decryptor for STOP Djvu by clicking the link below.

  2. Run Emsisoft Decryptor for STOP Djvu

When Emsisoft Decryptor for STOP Djvu has finished downloading, double-click on “decrypt_STOPDjvu.exe” to run this program on your computer. In most cases, downloaded files are saved to the Downloads folder.

Double-click on the Emsisoft Decryptor for STOP Djvu icon to decrypt the FUTM files

You may be presented with a User Account Control pop-up asking if you want to allow Emsisoft to make changes to your device. If this happens, you should click “Yes” to continue with the installation.

  3. Follow the on-screen prompts

When the Emsisoft Decryptor for STOP Djvu starts, you will need to agree with the Terms and accept a disclaimer.
Click Yes to Continue to decrypt FUTM ransomware

  4. Click on “Decrypt”.

Click the “Decrypt” button to start the decryption process. The screen will switch to a status view, informing you about the current process and decryption status of your files.

Click Decrypt to recover from FUTM ransomware

  5. The decryptor will inform you once the decryption process is finished. If you require the report for your personal records, you can save it by clicking the “Save log” button. If your system was compromised through the Windows Remote Desktop feature, we also recommend changing all passwords of all users that are allowed to login remotely and checking the local user accounts for additional accounts the attacker might have added.

If the “Emsisoft Decryptor for STOP Djvu” can’t decrypt your documents and you do not plan on paying the ransom, it is advised that you make an image of the encrypted drives so that you can possibly decrypt them in the future.

Option 2: Search for a FUTM ransomware decryption tool

The cybersecurity community is constantly working to create ransomware decryption tools, so you can try to search these sites for updates:

Your computer should now be free of the FUTM ransomware infection. If your current antivirus allowed this malicious program on your computer, you may want to consider purchasing the full-featured version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to protect against these types of threats in the future.

As you know, the new Microsoft product installation usually includes a 30-days free trial license. However, the problem here is that the trial license is not uninstalled automatically when it is expired. And so this leads to the paradox that it keeps saying “Most features are disabled” or “Windows is not activated” even after activating it using a valid license. Besides, some of you guys who have ever used KMS license to activate your Windows or your Office and now you just want to remove it in order to use another product key. This is similar to the problem I just mentioned. And to address these issues, please do the following steps.

Источник: https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-za/000111369/how-to-resolve-common-microsoft-office-2013-and-365-installation-issues-using-microsoft-resources

The last few versions of Microsoft Office have been stable and there are hardly any issues with them. However, occasionally, you might find Microsoft Word is not responding. It just stays stuck on one screen no matter what you do.

There are many reasons Microsoft Word may not respond. Maybe there are issues with the add-ins that you’ve installed? Or maybe the document you’re trying to open is corrupt and causing Word to freeze-up?

Luckily, there are multiple ways to fix these issues with Word on your computer.

Launch Word In Safe Mode & Disable Add-Ins

One way to fix when Microsoft Word is not responding is to use safe mode. This mode lets you open Word only with the essential files and it’ll help you troubleshoot any add-in issues with the app.

  1. Press and hold the Ctrl key on your keyboard and click the Word shortcut on your desktop.
  1. You’ll get a prompt that asks if you want to open Word in safe mode. Click Yes to continue.
  1. Click the File menu at the top of your screen.
  1. Select Options from the left sidebar on your screen. It should be at the bottom of the list.
  1. On the following screen, click the Add-ins option in the left sidebar.
  2. Find the Manage dropdown menu on the right-hand side pane and click Go next to it.
  1. Untick all the add-ins on your screen and click OK.
  1. Launch Word in normal mode and it should open.

Fix The Corrupted Word Document

If Word malfunctions or doesn’t respond only with certain documents, there may be issues with those documents. One way to fix this is to repair those corrupt documents and then open them with Word.

  1. Open Word on your computer. Use safe mode if normal mode doesn’t work.
  1. Click the Open option in the left sidebar.
  1. Select Browse on the following screen to browse your computer for the problematic document.
  1. Navigate to the folder where your document is saved, select it, click the arrow icon next to Open, and choose Open and Repair.
  1. Word will open your document and repair it for you.

Repair The Microsoft Office Suite

Issues with Microsoft Office apps including Word are common, so these apps come bundled with a utility to fix issues. You can access the utility and select the repair option which will repair any issues with the Office apps on your computer.

Use Control Panel

  1. Open Control Panel on your computer.
  1. Click the Uninstall a program option. You aren’t uninstalling anything.
  1. Select Microsoft Office in the list and click Change at the top.
  1. Choose Quick Repair in the box on your screen and click Repair.
  1. If Quick Repair didn’t fix the issue, choose the Online Repair option.

Use Settings

  1. Launch the Settings app on your PC.
  1. Select Apps on the following screen.
  1. Find Microsoft Office in the list, select it, and click Modify.
  1. Choose the Quick Repair option to repair the Office suite.

Change Your Default Printer

One reason Microsoft Word is not responding is because you have a faulty printer set as the default printer on your computer. Word is tightly integrated with the printers on your system and any issues with your printers can cause Word not to respond.

Selecting another printer as the default printer should fix this issue.

  1. Open the Settings app on your PC.
  1. Click the Devices option on the following screen.
  1. Choose Printers & scanners from the left sidebar.
  1. Untick the Let Windows manage my default printer option.
  1. Find a working printer in the list, click it, and choose Manage.
  1. Click the Set as default button to set your newly chosen printer as the default printer on your computer.

Update Your Printer Drivers

If your printer drivers are obsolete, they could cause Word not to respond as the computer won’t be able to properly communicate with the printer hardware. To fix this, you can update the printer drivers on your machine.

  1. Search for and open Device Manager using Cortana search.
  1. Select your printer in the list, right-click it, and choose Update driver.
  1. If you’ve downloaded the drivers to your computer, select Browse my computer for driver software.
  1. Select Search automatically for updated driver software if you don’t already have the drivers with you.

Turn Off Your Antivirus Software

Some antivirus programs are known to cause conflicts with various apps. Therefore, we suggest you turn your antivirus program temporarily off and see if that fixes the issue with Word on your system.

Most antivirus software can be turned off by right-clicking on their icons in the system tray and choosing Disable, Turn off protection, or a similar option.

If Word starts responding after you’ve disabled your antivirus, your antivirus and Word aren’t playing well with each other. You may want to remove your current antivirus program and replace it with another one.

Uninstall Recent Windows & Office Updates

If Word is not responding after an Office or Windows update, you can try uninstalling the update and see if that fixes the problem. This should work if the issue is caused by either of these updates.

  1. Launch Control Panel on your computer.
  1. Click the Uninstall a program option.
  1. Select the View installed updates option in the left sidebar.
  1. Select the update that you think is causing the issue and click Uninstall.
  1. Click Yes in the prompt that appears on your screen to uninstall the selected update.

Reinstall Microsoft Office On Your Computer

Lastly, if nothing works, you can uninstall Microsoft Office completely from your computer and then clean install it. This’ll fix any issues with the Office apps and Word will no longer have any issues.

Use Settings

  1. Open Settings on your PC.
  1. Select Apps on the following screen.
  1. Find Microsoft Office, click it, and select the Uninstall button.
  1. Click Uninstall again to remove the Office.
  1. Download Office as you normally would and install it on your PC.

Use Uninstall Support Tool

Microsoft has a dedicated uninstall tool to help you remove the Office suite from your computer.

  1. Download and install the Uninstall Support Tool on your computer.
  2. Select your Office version and click Next.
  1. Checkmark the box on the following screen and click Next.
  1. Reboot your computer when asked and let the tool remove Office completely.

Microsoft Word comes with many features but sometimes these features cause issues with the core software. If Word ever became unresponsive on your computer, how did you fix the problem? Let us know in the comments below.
